Venice, CA -Children Sports International will be hosting a special community
beach clean-up day in Venice Beach for an Earth Day celebration on April 22nd.
Volunteers should plan to meet at lifeguard tower Buccaneer at the
south side of the Venice Pier. This
event is free and open to all ages. This is a great opportunity for you and
your friends to get involved! We even offer community service hours for those
who need it.
Volunteers
must be 13 years old OR (if not) be accompanied by an adult. A Parent signature is required on all minors’
liability waiver forms and all cleaning supplies will be provided. However, to
help cut down on the number of bags used during a cleanup, you can bring a
bucket or reuse a bag from home. Reusable garden gloves or rubber kitchen
gloves are also highly encouraged. We applaud any reusable efforts, especially
bringing your own refillable water bottles instead.
If
you plan to bring a group of 10 or more, please let us know so we can

including some strange and random items.
There will be a prize
for whoever collects the most and another for the strangest single item
retrieved. Volunteers will be treated to food and drinks in the morning and/or
lunch after the cleanup. We will also feature a guest speaker from Heal the
Bay, and as always, there will be pick-up games, free fitness training sessions
and giveaways for our participants.
We will also host a

GEt INVOLVED: Can't join us for this cleanup?
You can still make a difference in your community.
Donate $5 and you can help provide sports equipment for children in our
youth sports program and let us offer sports performance training for our
volunteer coaches, enabling them to teach children new skills, helping to build
strong bodies and minds. Or, give $10 to double your impact and help
us reach out to more children in under-served communities!
